An autopsy Friday displayed that a man who led police on a pursue from Massachusetts to Fresh Hampshire died of a single gunshot wound to the neck, officials said.

Presque Isle police were looking for Brown before the pursue began.
“Earlier this week, I was actually in a helicopter searching the area for Michael in hopes that it wouldn’t come down to this,” Detective Kris Beck of the Presque Isle Police Department said.
The pursue began in Malden, Massachusetts, after police recognized that Brown was dreamed on sexual brunt, firearms and stolen vehicle charges in Maine. The 40-minute pursuit ended when Brown crashed his pickup truck into a tree.
Witness Keith Sevigny said he could hear the pursue before he could see it. He took cellphone movie of the truck speeding through back roads in Newton, with dozens of police vehicles and a helicopter in pursuit.
“I eyed the car coming very first,” Sevigny said. “It was railing right on the tires, scraping rim, chewing up the pavement.”
“Massachusetts authorities did use some spike strips, so the vehicle’s tires had been significantly bruised,” Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeff Strelzin said.
The pursuit crossed state lines before coming to a violent end on Amesbury Road in Newton. Neighbors observed as Massachusetts State Police opened fire.
“We spotted what appeared to be a SWAT team with big brunt rifles running toward it,” witness Brent MacKenzie said.
The sound of gunshots woke up Sandra Erickson’s family.
“My mother, she ducked when she heard it, because it was right in front of her window,” Erickson said.
Massachusetts police said Brown fired at troopers and drove the wrong way on Interstate four hundred ninety five during the pursue. A weapon was found in his vehicle, authorities said.
“We didn’t know he was shooting at them, so it’s a little scary how close we were,” Sevigny said.
Main investigators are in touch with Brown’s family.
“They obviously did not want this end result for Michael. Neither did we,” Beck said. “Nobody necessarily dreamed this to be the end. But unluckily, Michael made the decisions that he made.”
The investigation is being treated by the Fresh Hampshire Attorney General’s Office. Strelzin said that officers’ weapons have been taken as a normal part of the investigation.
No one else was hurt in the pursue or the shootout. Brown’s family said they’re saddened to have this end in tragedy.
